Privacy Policy — Log in with PayPal
This Privacy Policy describes how CNR Consulting Services, Inc. (“CNR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use Log in with PayPal to link a PayPal account to your affiliate profile in AffiliateLauncher (“Service”).
This policy applies specifically to the PayPal account-linking feature used to receive commission payouts. It supplements, and does not replace, your company’s program policies or PayPal’s own privacy notices.
1. Information we collect via Log in with PayPal
When you choose to connect PayPal, we request authorization through PayPal’s OAuth service. After you sign in with PayPal and grant permission, we receive:
- PayPal payer ID — a non-public account identifier PayPal assigns to your PayPal account.
We do not collect or store through this flow:
- Your PayPal password or security credentials;
- Your PayPal account balance or transaction history;
- Your PayPal email address or profile information via this linking flow.
OAuth access tokens issued during linking are used only to complete the connection and obtain your payer ID. We do not store affiliate OAuth tokens after linking is complete.
2. Why we collect payer ID
We store your PayPal payer ID so that:
- Your company can route commission payouts to the PayPal account you verified by signing in;
- PayPal CSV payout files and, where enabled, PayPal API payouts can identify the correct payee account;
- We can confirm you control the account before recording it on your profile.
3. Roles and responsibilities
- CNR operates AffiliateLauncher, the software platform that facilitates commission programs.
- Your company (the commission program operator) decides payout timing, amounts, and methods, and initiates payouts to affiliates.
- PayPal processes payments according to PayPal’s terms and privacy policy.
CNR does not hold affiliate commission funds. Payouts are funded by your company’s PayPal account (or via manual CSV upload to PayPal, depending on configuration).
4. How we store and protect information
Your payer ID is stored as paypal_id on your affiliate record in your
company’s isolated tenant database. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).
Access is limited to authenticated users and administrators according to role permissions.
5. How we share information
We may share your linked payer ID with:
- Your company’s authorized users who manage commissions and payouts;
- PayPal, when you authenticate or when your company submits a payout that references your payer ID.
We do not sell your PayPal payer ID to third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Retention
We retain your payer ID while your PayPal account remains linked to your affiliate profile. When you disconnect PayPal in My Info, we clear the stored payer ID. Your company may retain separate payout and commission records as required for accounting, tax, or legal compliance.
7. Your choices and rights
- Disconnect: You may disconnect your PayPal account at any time from My Info in the affiliate portal.
- Payout disputes: Contact your company regarding commission amounts or payout timing.
- Platform support: Use Help in AffiliateLauncher for technical issues with linking or the Service.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding personal data. To exercise rights relating to data your company controls, contact your company administrator.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children through Log in with PayPal.
9. International users
Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where CNR or its service providers operate. By linking PayPal, you acknowledge that payer ID may be transferred and stored as described in this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of Log in with PayPal after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
